Self-guided. This immersive exhibit offers an opportunity to reflect on the legacy of the Holodomor and the role of memory in confronting historical injustice.
Donations of non-perishable food items are welcome and will support a community food bank.

HOLODOMOR 1932-1933: A Genocidal Famine Remembered
Twelve towering panels present historical information on the Holodomor, its implementation, and the impact of decades-long denial on global awareness of the genocide. Video of survivor interviews, from the Ukrainian Canadian Research and Documentation Centre (UCRDC) archives, is featured alongside projected installations.

Take-away guidebook highlighting key elements of the images, providing historical context and reflection prompts, including a resource area for further learning
This exhibit offers a unique opportunity to connect with survivors’ stories and reflect on the role of historical memory in preventing such crimes from happening again. The experience is self-guided and takes approximately one hour to explore, allowing visitors to move through the space at their own pace. Scheduled times when a Holodomor researcher is present are also available for those who wish to engage more deeply. For groups larger than ten, please book in advance.
