Ukrainian Language Courses

This program is intended for the general public interested in learning Ukrainian as a second language. You may be of Ukrainian ancestry and just out of practice, have Ukrainian in-laws, or are just interested in learning another language. A special aspect of each course is the extensive exposure to the Ukrainian language, as it is spoken daily in Ukraine. The cost includes course reading materials. Our classes

Learn the Cyrillic alphabet. The focus is on speaking and writing using simple grammatical structures and sentences through class participation, and developing reading skills.

Beginner: Tuesdays, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. September 16, 2025 - Apr. 21, 2026
Develop more fluency in everyday communication and improve your reading and writing skills. Learn more complex grammatical structures.

Intermediate I: Thursdays, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. September 18, 2025 – April 23, 2026
Continue to improve vocabulary to describe experiences, opinions, and plans. Main grammatical focus is on verb conjugation and some Ukrainian cases.
Intermediate: Thursdays, 7:30 – 9:30 p.m., September 18, 2025 – April 23, 2026
Continue to develop fluency in everyday communication and learn advanced word formation and grammar to handle more complex situations.

Advanced: Wednesdays, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. September 17, 2025 – April 22, 2026
