Everyone is welcome at Toronto Ukrainian Genealogy Group (TUGG) meetings. Those who enjoy them are encouraged to become annual members. For membership information, contact Sonia Tkachuk van Heerden at sonia280cdn@yahoo.com. First-time attendees, or anyone wishing to try out a meeting, are asked for a $5 contribution toward meeting costs, payable to the Treasurer at the meeting.
Toronto Ukrainian Genealogy Group (TUGG) has been around since 1999, (now in our 3rd year of reconvening since the pandemic,) helping those with an interest in their family history in Ukraine and diaspora find themselves in the materials available. We hold monthly meetings, with presentations from members and knowledgeable guests that can help those at any stage of their research, and an opportunity to discuss your progress and roadblocks in a supportive environment. You may be able to track your family back to the 1700s, or find and contact new family members with modern genetic tools.
