Cityscape is an exhibition of film photography that invites photographers to rediscover the urban environment through fresh eyes. Whether exploring familiar streets as if for the first time or navigating an unknown city with a sense of belonging, this exhibition captures the dynamic relationship between people and the spaces they inhabit. From towering skylines to hidden alleyways, each image reflects a personal connection to the rhythm, texture, and energy of the city. Cityscape allows you to feel “plugged in.”
Experience the moment when the city’s pulse syncs with your own, when you’re no longer just an observer but a part of its living landscape.
Founded in 2023, Vytik Art Collective was established as a platform for Ukrainian newcomer artists to collaborate and integrate into the Canadian art landscape. Within 2 years, the collective grew into a hub of emerging artists from different cultural and professional backgrounds who are challenging traditional approaches to making and looking at art.
By successfully curating and managing 2 large museum exhibitions with over 30 artists, a solo show of one of our emerging artists, a group show at an artist-run centre; a film photography exhibition; organizing more than 10 workshops and curatorial and art tours; launching 3 open calls, Vytik is rapidly growing and looking for more collaborative opportunities with local contemporary galleries, institutions and community organizations.
