Ukrainian Heritage Month Wrap
Thank you for a beautiful Heritage Month!
Ukrainian Heritage Month was a full one. From the library to our basement, from the festival to the candlelight poetry night: thank you for showing up, engaging, and making it what it was.
How do we choose where our dreams take us?
Writer and curator Anna Matviichuk steps through a black curtain into "By the Window," an immersive Ukrainian dinner hosted by Mark and Yulia in the SVI basement. Borshch, lullabies, charcoal, and lace, remembered like a dream.
My first dance shaped the rest of my residency at the SVI
I arrived on the first Thursday evening with my camera in hand, ready to document the event at INSTITUT. Instead, someone invited me onto the dance floor.
INSTITUT. Finally.
ONE NIGHT A WEEK only in its pilot season, INSTITUT boasts highly curated cultural programming (music, cinema, literature and art) every Thursday from 5pm until late in the basement auditorium of St. Volodymyr Institute
